What makes it special
The Border commemorates the Battle of Longewala, simulating the trials faced by the 120 soldiers of the 23rd Battalion, Punjab Regiment who held their post through a night of fighting in the 1971 war. It's one of the flattest 100-mile races in India, until the final 40 km, which cross a stretch of rolling sand dunes near the India-Pakistan border.
Terrain
The Experience
Run between Jaisalmer and Laungewala over two days, across 50K, 100K and 100-mile distances. Daytime highs around 30°C fall close to freezing after dark, so runners deal with heat, cold, and a punishing dune stretch inside the same race.

- Ultra runners chasing a 100-mile finish
- Desert and endurance specialists
- Runners drawn to routes with real history
